Structural Drawings
Structural Design Calculations

The basis for all structural design. We provide clear, concise and fully referenced design calculations suitable for submission to local authority building control or approved inspector for the purpose of UK building regulations approval.
Typical projects include:
- Internal or external alterations
- Extensions
- Loft conversions
Structural Engineers Reports (SER's)

All accompanying structural drawings are produced in-house using AutoCAD and issued electronically in PDF format.
Drawings can be issued for preliminary scheme, tender or building regulations stage submissions.
Our service can include a measured survey on site to produce drawings from scratch, or if there is an architect involved we can, with prior approval adopt their drawings as a base layout.
Construction Stage Site Assistance

We have a wealth of experience in diagnosing some of the classic structural defects affecting residential and low-rise buildings.
Following a site inspection, our reports offer a thorough summary of findings and recommendations for appropriate methods of remedial strengthening or repair.
In the process of purchasing a property and had a specific structural issue highlighted in a homebuyers report? We can help you identify and understand the risks involved to enable you to make an informed decision.
We take a hands-on approach with site visits should these be requested to ensure construction projects are completed successfully beyond Building Regulations Approval Stage.
We insist on an initial site visit at the commencement of every project to understand the existing structural arrangement as far as a non-intrusive visual inspection will allow.
Recent changes to UK legislation (Building Safety Act 2022) place broader responsibilities on clients, principal contractors and designers to ensure construction projects are undertaken in compliance with the Building Regulations approved design. We are ideally placed to assist clients and contractors with site inspections during the construction phase, should this be required.
